We’re Iowa Pop Art, a volunteer-driven initiative organized by a small collective of multi-disciplinary Iowa artists that uplift and empower each other. We bring together cool people who are passionate about art.
We’re bringing back the highly anticipated 3rd annual Iowa Pop Art Festival this year on May 4th in Cedar Rapids. The all day festival consists of over 100 artist booths on the grounds of NewBo City Market, a gallery exhibition encompassing the entire historic CSPS Hall, and an exciting lineup of performing artists in the Market Yard. We focus on inviting artists that have direct ties to Iowa, and we’re proud of that fact.
Because of our goal to highlight a wide array of Iowa artists, we bring in a diverse crowd of community members that appreciate local business and talent, and they show that support in material ways. Last year, we saw over 7,000 visitors — an increase of 40% from the year prior.
The community has shown us that they’re hungry for this kind of event, and they want even more. Here’s where you come in: we’re asking local businesses to help us bring Iowa Pop Art to the people in bigger and better ways.
Please consider the following ways you can support us:
Creator Sponsorship ($100)
Creator Sponsors help cover the cost of attending for one or more artists who may not otherwise have the means. These costs include booth fees, tent rental, travel, etc. Every donation of $100 sponsors one artist, so sponsors can choose to help multiple artists by making a donation in multiples of $100 (i.e. a $300 donation helps 3 artists attend the festival). Creator Sponsors will be listed on the Festival Map and receive a special thanks on our social media channels.
Collector Sponsorship ($500)
Collector Sponsors enable us to reach out to artists from all corners of Iowa and create the infrastructure needed to platform such a diverse array of artists. These sponsorships assist us with the costs of venue and equipment rental, promotional materials, and other technical necessities. Collector Sponsors will receive their logos on directional signage the day of the event, will be listed on the Festival Map, and receive a special thanks on our social media channels.
Curator Sponsorship ($1000)
Curator Sponsors enable us to fund things like artists demonstrations, installations, live performances, the ever-popular beer tent, etc. These sponsors will get their brand prominently displayed on the signage for the amenities they sponsor (e.g. catering brought to you by XYZ Company; Printing Demonstration courtesy of XYZ Company), will be listed on the Festival Map, and receive special thanks on our social media channels.
Benefactor Sponsorship ($2500+)
Benefactor sponsors help put on the festival as a whole, covering the cost of renting the space, hiring local musicians, and renting key equipment. Benefactor Sponsor logos are listed on festival posters that will be displayed across the state and on social media leading up to the event, logos included on prominent signage the day of the event, special listing on the Festival Map, and recognition on our social media platforms. And most importantly: they get bragging rights for their dedicated support of the coolest artists Iowa has to offer.
